The shared section of the Red and Gold lines has been in operation since December 4, 1981, when it was originally opened as the North-South Line between Garnett and North Avenue. Over the next few years, several new stations were added to the North-South Line, extending it southward to the West End station and northward to Midtown and the Arts Center. The North Springs stop
When arriving at the North Springs station, you'll find it in a suburban area with a park-and-ride lot and several bus bays. The station is at 7010 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, and the lot offers over 2,000 daily and monthly parking spaces. If you're driving to the station, take I-285 to the North Springs exit and head south on Peachtree Dunwoody Road. The station will be on your right.
To enter the station, use the sky bridge from the parking lot, which leads directly to the platform. You'll need to purchase a Breeze Card from the vending machine if you don't already have one.
