The airport provides easy access to downtown Athens

The metro station is right across the arrivals terminal, and the train station building is located at the Departures level, connected to the main terminal via an elevated passageway. Trains run every 30 minutes, seven days a week, from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm. The metro (blue line) will take you directly to downtown Athens, with central stations including Syntagma, Monastiraki, Kerameikos, and Piraeus. The journey time is approximately 40 minutes, and tickets cost €9 one way (€4.50 for children, teenagers, and seniors).

The express airport bus X95 connects the airport to Syntagma Square in downtown Athens, making 19 stops along the way. The bus ride takes 50 minutes to one hour and 10 minutes, depending on the time of day and traffic.
