As of January 2023, Global Entry kiosks were available at nearly 60 US airports, including some of the country's biggest airports, like John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Global Entry is also available at some smaller airports, such as Toledo Express Airport (TOL) and Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFB).

To use Global Entry, approved travellers can scan their faces at kiosks or through the CBP mobile app. Customs declarations are made orally to officers if kiosks are used, while app users make digital declarations. When entering the US from Mexico and Canada, members can use their Global Entry card instead of their passport and utilize the SENTRI and NEXUS access lanes. However, this does not work the other way around.
To apply for Global Entry, you need a valid passport and a secondary form of identification, such as a driver's license. The application will also ask for your mailing and residential address, occupation, and vehicle information if you want to register your car for SENTRI. There is a $120 application fee, but many premium credit cards will reimburse this fee.
