Ian Fleming Airport in Ocho Rios
Ian Fleming International Airport (IFIA) is located in Boscobel, Saint Mary Parish, Jamaica, about 10 km (6.2 mi) east of Ocho Rios, in the northeast of the country. The airport is named after Ian Fleming, the creator of the James Bond novels, whose Goldeneye estate is located in St. Mary Parish.
The airport was previously known as Boscobel Aerodrome and was a limited-service facility that processed around 20,000 passengers annually. It was in operation for over 30 years, serviced by local carriers operating small aircraft.
Renovations began in 2009, with a total construction cost of $300 million (JMD).
