Terminal 3, located in the north-east corner of the airport, is a smaller terminal mainly operated by budget airlines and charter flights. There are two smoking rooms serving the 12 gates, ensuring a quiet experience. One is located opposite Gate K47, and the other can be accessed through the Pret A Manger Cafe after security.
In addition to the designated smoking areas, some travellers have reported smoking in other areas of the airport, such as the main waiting area and the arrival areas before passport control.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) has plenty of designated smoking areas airside, past security. According to one source, there are "espace fumeurs" (smoking areas) in all three terminal buildings.
In Terminal 1, there are at least two post-security smoking areas. One is located on Level 4, which can be accessed by taking the moving sidewalk to gates 50-58 and turning right. The other is located on Level 10, next to the Icare lounge. To get to the latter, take the elevators located by Laduree and Hermes.
Terminal 2 has several smoking areas past security. There are two smoking rooms in the 2E gate area, and one in the 2G waiting/store area. Additionally, there is a smoking area in Terminal 2C, located across from McDonald's between gates C80/C81 and C82/C83.
Terminal 3 also has a smoking area, which can be accessed through the Pret A Manger Cafe after security. Head towards gates 9-15, and you'll find the smoking area in front of gate 8.
