The seasonal routes available from Murcia Airport vary depending on the time of year. During the summer, there are flights to 22 destinations in six countries, including the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Portugal, and Morocco, as well as national routes within Spain.
In the summer of 2023, new flight connections were added by easyJet to London Luton and Manchester airports, also operated by Ryanair.
During the summer, Ryanair operates flights between Corvera Airport Murcia and Manchester, East Midlands, London (Luton and Stansted), Birmingham, Glasgow, and Nottingham, as well as its regular Dublin route. The Región de Murcia International Airport (RMU) is located just 30 minutes from the city centre by car. The airport offers various transportation options to get to the city centre, including taxi ranks, local bus lines, and car rentals.
By Taxi
Taking an airport taxi or private transfer is the fastest option to get to the city centre. The journey takes about 22 minutes and costs a fixed rate of €29. Taxis in Murcia are strictly regulated by the state and can accommodate up to four passengers. It is common to come across taxi drivers who don't speak English, so it is recommended to have your address written down. Most taxis do not accept card payments, so ensure you have cash on hand.
By Bus
The airport is connected to the city centre by Bus 1, operated by Interbus. The bus departs from outside the main terminal and arrives at the Murcia bus station downtown. Tickets cost €1.85-€2.50, and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. However, the bus operates only a few times a day, so if your flight arrives between scheduled departures, you may have to wait several hours for the next bus. It is possible to buy your bus ticket online and secure your seat in advance, but there is a €0.50 management fee.
By Train
From the airport, you can catch trains with connections to Murcia Central Station and other local stations. For longer journeys, you can travel by train to Madrid, Valencia, Tarragona, and Montpellier.
