Airports With American Express Clubs: Where To Unwind

American Express offers its Platinum Card members complimentary access to more than 1,400 airport lounges across 140 countries. These lounges are part of the American Express Global Lounge Collection and include the Centurion Lounges, Delta Sky Clubs, and Lufthansa Business and Senator Lounges. Cardholders can also access the Priority Pass network, which includes over 1,700 lounges worldwide. Delta Sky Club

To access the Delta Sky Club, you must be a SkyMiles member. You can choose between two membership options: an Individual Membership or an Executive Membership. Members may bring guests for an additional fee per guest per visit.

Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card Members receive 15 visits per Medallion Year to the Delta Sky Club when flying Delta. They can also unlock an unlimited number of visits after spending $75,000 in purchases on their card in a calendar year. These members receive four one-time guest passes each Medallion Year. Additionally, they can purchase guest access for up to two other travelling companions for $39 per person.

Platinum Card Members can pay $50 per guest per visit (up to two guests, or a spouse/domestic partner and children under 21). They will need to present their valid Platinum Card, government-issued ID, and boarding pass for a Delta flight to access the lounge. Eligible Card Members on departing flights can only access the Delta Sky Club within 3 hours of their flight's scheduled departure time.

Centurion Lounges

To access a Centurion Lounge, eligible cardholders can simply present their card, along with a valid ID and a same-day boarding pass. Cardmembers may bring up to two companions into many Centurion Lounge locations, and children under 2 years of age are admitted free of charge. However, supplementary Gold Cards on Platinum accounts are not eligible for complimentary access. Guest access policies may vary internationally and are subject to change.

In addition to Centurion Lounges, eligible American Express cardholders can also access other lounge networks, such as Delta Sky Clubs, Lufthansa Lounges, and Priority Pass lounges. Lufthansa Lounges

• London Heathrow: Lufthansa Senator and Business Lounge in the STAR Partner Lounge (Terminal T2A).
• Munich Airport: First Class Lounge in the Satellite Terminal near Gates K11 and L11, and Lufthansa Senator Lounges near G24 (Schengen) and H24 (non-Schengen) in Departure Areas G and H.
• Frankfurt Airport: First Class Terminal and First Class Lounges in Departure Areas A and B, as well as Lufthansa Business Lounges and Lufthansa Senator Lounges (when flying business class).

In addition, with ITA Airways as a new member of the Lufthansa Group, Lufthansa lounge access has expanded. First and Business Class guests and status customers can now enjoy access to ITA Airways lounges in Rome-Fiumicino, Milan-Linate, and Catania-Fontanarossa, among others.

Priority Pass

To enter a Priority Pass lounge, Platinum Card Members must present their Priority Pass membership card, Platinum Travel Credit Card, and boarding pass with a confirmed reservation for same-day travel. Enrollment in Priority Pass is required and can be done through the Priority Pass app, which also helps members find and access lounges, navigate airports, and manage their accounts.

It is recommended to arrive at the airport with enough time to enjoy the benefits of the Priority Pass lounges, which offer a moment of indulgence away from the busy departure terminals.

American Express Global Lounge Collection

The American Express Global Lounge Collection provides access to over 1,400 airport lounges across 140 countries. This includes Centurion Lounges in the US and abroad, with 15 lounges in the US and 10 in international locations. Cardholders of The Platinum Card from American Express, The Business Platinum Card from American Express, and the Centurion Card from American Express can enter Delta Sky Clubs when flying with Delta (10 visits per year), as well as Lufthansa lounges when flying Lufthansa.

Delta Sky Club access requires a valid American Express Card, government-issued ID, and boarding pass. The boarding pass must show a reservation for a same-day Delta-marketed or Delta-operated flight departing from or arriving at the airport where the Delta Sky Club is located. Eligible cardholders can only access the lounge within three hours of their flight's scheduled departure time. During a layover, cardholders may use the Delta Sky Club at any time.

Centurion Lounges offer locally-inspired food, top-shelf alcohol, high-speed Wi-Fi, and an on-site concierge. Cardmembers may bring up to two companions into many of the Centurion Lounge locations, and children under two years of age are admitted free of charge. Platinum Cardmembers have complimentary access to over 1,400 Priority Pass lounges located outside of India. Lounge access within India is payable at a prevailing rate of $35 per person per visit. Cardmembers can bring one guest to Priority Pass lounges for free, with additional guests subject to a usage fee.
