Salt Lake City International Airport
The airport has facilities for air ambulance, law enforcement, state and federal government aircraft, and flight training. The Utah Air National Guard operates the Roland R. Wright Air National Guard Base on the east side of the airport, occupying approximately 140 acres. The base comprises 65 buildings, with 255 full-time personnel and 1,343 part-time guardsmen.

Provo Airport
The airport's Air Traffic Control Tower opened in 2005, transitioning the airport from an uncontrolled status. Ogden–Hinckley Airport
The airport is Utah's busiest municipal airport for private planes, with over 400 general aviation airplanes based there. It is also recognised as an FAA Part 139 General Aviation airport, owing to its 24-hour all-weather precision ILS approach capability. This capability also makes it a weather diversion alternative for Salt Lake International Airport.
After several years without regular service, Allegiant Air resumed operations in 2012, offering flights to Phoenix–Mesa Gateway Airport. St. George Municipal Airport
The prospect of a new airport for the region had been considered for many years due to the limitations of the old St. George Municipal Airport. The growth of the area and the increase in tourism made a new airport essential. Plans for the new airport included a single runway that could accommodate regional jets and larger airliners. The initial dimensions of the runway were 9,300 by 150 feet, with subsequent plans to extend it to 11,500 feet. The new airport also featured a precision instrument approach, which the old airport lacked.
The construction of the new airport began in October 2008 and was partially funded by grants from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) totaling $24.2 million. The entire project was expected to cost between $170 million and $190 million. The new airport facility spanned 274 acres and included a 15,000-square-foot terminal. The runway, designated as 16/34, was made of asphalt and measured 6,606 feet in length.
The former St. George Municipal Airport used SGU as its location identifier for the FAA and IATA, while the new airport was temporarily assigned DXZ by the FAA before reverting to SGU in December 2011. The old airport had a notable history, with SkyWest Airlines operating as the Delta Connection and offering flights to Salt Lake City. United Express, operated by SkyWest, also provided flights to Los Angeles using turboprops. Between 1958 and 1960, Bonanza Air Lines Douglas DC-3s served the airport, flying to Salt Lake City and Phoenix, Arizona, via stops in Cedar City, Provo, and Prescott.
