Global Entry: Airports Offering Expedited Customs Clearance

Global Entry is a program that allows preapproved, low-risk travellers to enter the United States via automatic kiosks at select airports. As of January 2023, Global Entry is available at nearly 60 U.S. airports, including some of the country's biggest airports, such as John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The program has been expanded to include smaller airports, such as Toledo Express Airport (TOL) and Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFB).

Global Entry at JFK, Newark Liberty, and other New York airports

When members enter the country through a participating airport, they scan their machine-readable passports and fingerprints at a kiosk, complete a customs declaration form, and proceed straight to the baggage claim area.

Global Entry at Los Angeles International Airport

To apply for Global Entry at Los Angeles International Airport, you must first create a Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) account on the Trusted Traveler Programs website. Once your account is set up, you can fill out the Global Entry application form, which requires detailed personal information, travel history, and possibly employment information. There is also a non-refundable application fee, which is usually paid online through the TTP system at the time of application submission.

After submitting your application and fee, it will be reviewed, and if you are conditionally approved, you will receive a notification with instructions on how to schedule an in-person interview at your nearest enrollment centre. Due to the overwhelming number of applications, getting conditionally approved can take several months.
