The TWA Hotel

John F. Kennedy International Airport, commonly known as JFK Airport, is an airport in New York City, New York. The airport is currently home to the world's longest flight route and has been the site of several company headquarters and consortiums of airlines serving the airport's terminals.
One of the most notable events in the history of JFK Airport was the Air France Robbery, which took place in April 1967. Associates of the Lucchese crime family, including Henry Hill, Robert McMahon, Tommy DeSimone, and Montague Montemurro, stole $420,000 (equivalent to approximately $4 million in 2024) from the Air France cargo terminal. This was the largest cash robbery in the United States at the time and was carried out with a tip-off from night-shift manager McMahon, who knew that the airline flew American currency exchanged in Asia back to the United States.

They entered the unsecured area with a duplicate key, which they had obtained by distracting the security guard, and loaded seven bags of money into an empty suitcase. The robbery was portrayed in the 1969 film "Le clan des siciliens" and the 1990 film "Goodfellas," with the latter depicting it as an inside job.
