Smoking areas in Terminal 1
Terminal 1 at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport can be complicated, with a lot of floors and gates. Luckily, there are several smoking areas to accommodate travellers.
Firstly, there are two pre-security smoking areas at level 2, where the CDGVAL is located. You can find them next to the Starbucks coffee shop, right in the middle of the building.
If you are a transferring passenger, there is a post-security smoking area at level 4. Take the moving sidewalk to gates 50 to 58 and turn right. This is a large area, so big that you need a train to travel between its different sections.
There is also a smoking area in the garden of the Star Alliance Lounge in the Schengen area of Terminal 1.
In addition, there are smoking cabins at level 10, which are after passport control but before the security check. There are also smoking areas at the boarding level, near gates 50-58, as well as at level 11, which is also a boarding level.
Finally, in Terminal 1 on the first floor, there are gates 10-38. Near the Saint Laurent store, you will find a cigarette sign indicating an elevator. Enter the elevator and press 3, which will also have a cigarette sign next to it. This will take you to the third floor, where there is a smoking area.

Terminal 2 smoking rooms
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) has plenty of smoking areas in all three terminal buildings.
Terminal 2 at CDG Airport has multiple smoking areas. The specific locations of these smoking areas are as follows:
- Zone 2C has a smoking area across from the McDonald's, between gates C80/C81 and C82/C83.
- Terminal 2E has a smoking area near gate L31.
- Terminal 2E also has a larger indoor smoking area with seating at gate L30.

Terminal 3 smoking rooms
