Billings Logan Airport
Billings Logan International Airport, located 3.5 km from Billings centre in southern Montana, is the second-largest airport in the state. Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport
The airport covers 2,481 acres (10.04 km2) of land and is elevated 4,473 feet (1,363 m) above sea level. It has four runways, the longest of which is 8,994 feet (2,741 m) long and 150 feet (46 m) wide. The airport is continuously expanding and renovating its terminal infrastructure, with a recent $180 million infrastructure upgrade and expansion announced in 2024. Bert Mooney Airport
The airport is owned by the Bert Mooney Airport Authority and was previously known as Butte Municipal Airport when it first opened in 1926. The name was changed to Silver Bow County Airport in 1960 and finally to Bert Mooney Airport in 1972 to honour Mooney.

Great Falls International Airport
The airport has been operational since the 1930s, playing a significant role during World War II as a base for the U.S. Army Air Forces. During the war years, it served as a stop for over 7,500 bombers and fighter aircraft en route to Europe and the Pacific. The airport was under the control of the U.S. government until 1948, when it was returned to the City of Great Falls.
The terminal building at Great Falls International Airport is award-winning, designed by Davidson-Kuhr Architects, with David S. Davidson as the lead architect. It features what is believed to be the world's largest collection of model airplanes, with 883 models on display, constructed by local resident Bary Poletto over several decades.
In terms of traffic, Great Falls International Airport recorded its highest number of boardings in 2011, with 172,415 passengers. Missoula International Airport
The airport has undergone several expansion projects in recent years to accommodate increased patronage. A 101-foot control tower was completed in September 2012, and an expansion of the old terminal building, with a new security screening area, was finished in 2007. In 2013, it was decided that further expansion of the current terminal was not financially prudent, and a new terminal was proposed. Construction on the new terminal's first phase, the South Concourse, began in 2018 and was completed in 2022. The old terminal was demolished in 2023.
The current airfield is named after Harry O. Bell, the first president of the Missoula chapter of the National Aeronautic Association, and mountain flying pioneer Bob Johnson of Johnson Flying Service (now Minuteman Aviation). Missoula's first landing strip was laid out in 1923, south of the university. An additional strip near the Western Montana Fair Grounds, now Sentinel High School, became Missoula's first airport in 1927. The original Garden City Airport, renamed Hale Field in 1935, operated until 1954 when it was gradually replaced by the Missoula County Airport, which opened in 1941.
In August 2024, Missoula Montana Airport became one of the few airports in the country to allow non-ticketed persons to visit areas past security. The airport received $6 million in funding for the eastward terminal expansion, which includes four new gates, an expanded baggage claim area, and a new rental car center.
