Airport Road, Mono Mills, Ontario
The road is also known as County Road 18 and is close to the eastern boundary of Mono. It is flanked by Highway 9 to the south and Highway 89 to the north. A drive up Airport Road, Highway 410, and Highway 10 will take you to Mono. If you're coming from the north on Highway 400, take the Highway 89 exit west and head to Rosemont via Cookstown and Alliston. You'll know you've reached Mono when you see the large Hills of Headwaters sign on your right.
The character of Airport Road changes dramatically as you cross Highway 9 and leave the Greater Toronto Area, entering the County of Dufferin and Escarpment Country. The rolling fields of Caledon give way to the rugged highlands of Mono, with beautiful scenery that includes deep gorges cut by rivers flowing into three Great Lakes.
