Being stuck in an airport without internet access can be one of the most boring experiences while travelling. Fortunately, there are a few ways to find the Wi-Fi password for almost any airport in the world. Many airports offer free Wi-Fi, but some require a local SIM card, a local phone number, or a network password to connect. There are interactive maps, such as the one created by computer security engineer and travel blogger Anil Polat, that provide users with Wi-Fi passwords for airports all over the world. These maps are regularly updated and can be downloaded for offline use. There are also apps available, such as WiFox, that provide users with airport Wi-Fi passwords.

Using the Keychain Access application
Keychain Access is an application built into all computers running macOS, which stores account passwords, Wi-Fi passwords, application certificates, and more. It is a good place to find saved passwords if you ever forget them.
To open the Keychain Access application, you can search for it in Spotlight and then press Return. If you don't see a list of keychains, choose Window > Keychain Viewer or press Command-1. You will then be able to select the keychain that you want to view.
To see more information about an item, you can either double-click it or select it and click in the toolbar. The Attributes pane in the Get Info window will show you basic identifying information for an item, such as its name and kind. If you want to see the password for an item, select "Show Password", and then enter the password for the keychain that contains that item.
While in the Keychain Access application, you can also edit an item by clicking into any of the fields and making changes. Once you are finished, click "Save Changes". To delete a keychain item, right-click it and choose "Delete" from the menu.

Using the AirPort Utility application
If you want to view the passwords associated with a base station, you can use the AirPort Utility application. This is how you do it:
First, open the AirPort Utility program, which can be found in ../Applications/Utilities. You can use Finder's "Go" menu to jump straight to the Utilities folder. Once you've launched AirPort Utility, you'll see a list of your devices at the bottom. Click on one to select it. If your Mac already knows the base station password and allows you to access its info, you're good to go! If not, you'll need to know the password to get to all of the other associated passwords, or you can look through Keychain Access for this information.
To use Keychain Access, start by locating it in Applications/Utilities and opening it by double-clicking on it. The application's icon is a ring with keys on it. Use the Search field in the upper right corner to type in the name of your wireless network. Click on the name of your wireless network from the list of found items. In the right-side window, under the "Name" column, look for your Wi-Fi network's Network Name (or BSSID). Double-click on your network name listing. The base station wireless security password entry will have a "Kind" of "AirPort network password". If required, enter your Mac's administrator account password. Your Wi-Fi network's wireless security password should now be displayed.
Alternatively, you can enter the following command in the Terminal app to retrieve the wireless security password from the Keychain:
> security find-generic-password -ga "
Where network-name would be the Network Name (aka SSID) of your AirPort's wireless network. The password will be listed after the "Password:" key.
If you don't want to change any of the passwords, but just want to retrieve the existing ones, you can do so by opening the AirPort Utility and selecting the AirPort base station. Then, select Edit. From the AirPort Utility's menu bar, select Base Station > Show Passwords. Both the Wi-Fi security and base station password should now be displayed.

To view passwords in AirPort using the Base Station menu, follow these steps:

Resetting the password
Resetting the Base Station Password
If you want to reset the base station password, you can do so by opening the AirPort Utility application. From there, locate and select your base station, then select "Edit". From the AirPort Utility menu bar, select "Base Station" and then "Show Passwords". You will then be able to edit the password field and reset it to your desired new password.
Resetting the Network Password
To change the network password, you can follow similar steps. Open the AirPort Utility application and select your base station. Then, from the AirPort Utility menu bar, select "Wireless" and edit the Wireless password field. Alternatively, you can turn on encryption (WPA2 is recommended) and enter a new password for your AirPort network.
Using the Reset Button
