Getting between terminals

For those transferring between terminals 2 and 3, the two terminals are within walking distance of each other, with the journey taking approximately 10 minutes. To get from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3, follow the signs to Terminal 3 by taking the elevator or escalator down to level -1, walking through the pedestrian underpass, and following the walkway around. To get from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2, take the stairs near the Virgin Atlantic check-in desks or the elevator or escalator opposite zone D down to level -1, from where you can access the pedestrian underpass to Terminal 2.

Transport to central London
London Heathrow Airport is located 32km (20 miles) west of central London. There are several transport options to get from Heathrow to central London, including Tube, train, coach, or taxi.
The Piccadilly line connects Heathrow Airport to central London and the rest of the London Underground network. If you have booked a connecting flight, you will need to follow the purple "Flight Connections" signs when you arrive at Heathrow. These signs will lead you to your next flight. Heathrow has four main terminal buildings and sub-buildings within those terminals, so your connecting journey will vary depending on where you arrive and where you are flying to. If you're driving an electric vehicle to Heathrow, it's important to note that the airport doesn't currently provide EV charging facilities in any of its car parks. It is recommended that you charge your electric vehicle adequately before arriving at the airport.
There are three main drop-off areas at Heathrow Airport, each with slightly different procedures depending on your chosen option. One option is to drop off passengers directly outside the terminal, which allows them to quickly grab their luggage and enter the terminal. This option costs £5-£6 for each entry into the terminal drop-off area. Payments can be made online or by phone and must be made by midnight on the day after your visit. It's important to note that you cannot pay at an airport ticket machine or in the terminal drop-off zones, and you must pay the charge every time you re-enter the drop-off areas.
Alternatively, you can use the Park & Ride car park, previously known as Long Stay, for 29-30 minutes of free parking. Upon exit, the barriers will read your ticket or registration number. However, please note that re-entry to the Park & Ride car park is prohibited in the following 24 hours, and this facility is not available to private hire or trade vehicles. From the Park & Ride car park, passengers can take a free shuttle bus to the terminals, which run every 10-15 minutes and take as little as 5 minutes.
