The Florence airport (FLR) is called Amerigo Vespucci Airport and is situated on the northwestern outskirts of Florence, just 4 kilometres from the city centre. The airport is well-connected to the city centre by tram, with Line T2 of the Florence tram service running between Santa Maria Novella railway station and Florence Airport every day from 5:00 a.m. to 00:30 a.m. (and until 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights).
