The airport has Delta and United lounges

Escape Lounge: A Paid Option at Fort Lauderdale Airport

The Escape Lounge in Terminal 3 is a good option for travellers who don't mind paying for access to a lounge. Unlike airline lounges, which often require elite status or a premium ticket, the Escape Lounge is open to all travellers for a fee. You will need a same-day boarding pass and entry is only allowed within three hours of your scheduled departure.

The Escape Lounge can be found between Gates E and F. It offers a range of amenities, including Wi-Fi, a hot and cold buffet, and a full-service bar. The food is highly rated, with a variety of fresh, hot options served buffet-style, including proteins, veggies, salads, soups, cereals, and sandwiches. While there are no showers, printing and scanning services are available.

Entry to the Escape Lounge costs $45 at the door, but discounts are available if you book in advance. Entry is complimentary for holders of certain credit cards, such as The Platinum Card from American Express, the Centurion Card, and the Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card, although the latter requires you to be travelling on a same-day Delta-marketed or Delta-operated flight.

Priority Pass members get a discount at Kafe Kalik

Priority Pass is a membership program that offers access to its network of airport lounges and select other airport establishments worldwide. Priority Pass members can receive a $28 discount off their bill at Kafe Kalik for dine-in service. This discount can be used for food and/or drinks, excluding 'to-go orders' and 'grab and go' items. To be eligible, Priority Pass members must present a valid card and a boarding pass with confirmed same-day travel before placing an order. It's important to note that this discount is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for a cash substitute or refund if the final bill is lower than $28 per person. The member is responsible for the balance if the total bill exceeds $28 per person, and any remaining balance cannot be used towards gratuity.

Kafe Kalik serves Caribbean-inspired food and is open daily from 6 am to 10 pm. It is located near Gate G6 in Terminal 4, which houses airlines such as Avianca and Spirit. The restaurant offers a variety of appetisers, entrees, desserts, and tropical beverages. Some of their popular dishes include the "Yardie" Spiced Curry Chicken, ceviche, conch fritters, and fried calamari. They also have gluten-free options, such as curry, yuca fries, rice, and peas.

It's worth noting that not all Priority Pass memberships include this dining benefit, and certain credit cards may exclude it. Therefore, it's recommended to check with your bank to confirm if your Priority Pass membership includes the Kafe Kalik dining credit. Additionally, Priority Pass members must have a same-day boarding pass to receive the discount.

Delta One Passengers

Delta One passengers travelling on a same-day domestic or international Delta flight can access the Delta Sky Club. This includes customers with a same-day domestic Delta One flight or those connecting to/from a same-day international Delta One flight.

SkyTeam Premium Travellers

Travellers flying in the premium cabin (First or Business class) on a SkyTeam partner-operated flight are eligible for Delta Sky Club access. This applies to international flights only, excluding travel between the US and the Caribbean.

Additionally, SkyTeam Elite Plus members can access the Delta Sky Club when flying internationally, regardless of their cabin class. This benefit is provided only at the departure airport and not at the arrival airport unless connecting to a qualifying SkyTeam flight.

It's important to note that Delta Sky Club access policies have been updated as of January 1, 2024. Basic Economy tickets on Delta or similar "light" or "basic" tickets on Delta partner flights are no longer eligible for Delta Sky Club access.
