The metro is a cheap and convenient way to travel from Madrid Airport to the city centre, but there are even cheaper alternatives. The suburban train service Cercanías lines C1 and C10 depart from Terminal 4 and can take you to Madrid Atocha train station in around 30 minutes for just €2.60. From here, you can take high-speed trains to other destinations in Spain. If you are travelling on to another destination by Renfe or iryo train, your journey from the airport to Atocha will be free.
