Covid test requirements for entering Italy

If you do not present a negative Covid test upon entering Italy, you can still enter, but you will have to undergo fiduciary isolation for 5 days and notify your arrival to the Prevention Department of the competent health authority for the territory. At the end of the 5-day isolation period, you will have to undergo a new molecular or antigenic test.
Before entering Italy, you must also fill out the Digital Passenger Locator Form (dPLF) and present the EU Digital COVID certificate upon arrival. If you are a citizen of a country not belonging to the European Union, you can present a COVID-19 Green Certificate, on paper or digitally, issued by the health authorities of your country. This certificate should show that you have carried out a diagnostic test with a negative result, recovered from Covid-19, or have been vaccinated against Covid-19 with one of the vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
If you have received a vaccine not approved by the EMA, you can still travel to Italy by taking a swab test before you travel. Once in Italy, you will need to take a swab test at any local pharmacy every 48 hours in order to access hotels, restaurants, museums, public transport, and shops.

To enter Italy, you need to present proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before entering Italy, or a negative rapid lateral flow test taken within 48 hours before entering Italy. Alternatively, you can present a Covid-19 recovery certificate, certifying that you have recovered from Covid-19 in the last six months.
