Lounge access requirements
United Club lounges
United Club lounges are located in Terminals A and C of Newark Liberty International Airport. To access these lounges, you must be flying with United Airlines or a Star Alliance partner airline. You will need to present a Star Alliance Gold membership card or a same-day boarding pass that shows an airline status equivalent to Star Alliance Gold. United Silver elites do not get lounge access. You can bring one guest as long as they are travelling on the same flight as you, but guests are not allowed into United Club Fly locations.
United Polaris lounges are restricted to those flying United Polaris business class on a long-haul international flight. Alternatively, you can access the Polaris lounge if you are flying international business or first class on a Star Alliance partner airline. A guest is only permitted if they are flying long-haul international first class on a Star Alliance carrier.
One-time passes to United Clubs cost $59 per person and can be bought in person or through United's mobile app. You will need a boarding pass for same-day travel on a Star Alliance, United or partner flight. From May 1, 2025, one-time pass holders will only be able to access the lounge within three hours of their scheduled departure, and only if they are at a connecting airport. One-time pass holders can bring children under 2 for free, but other travelling companions will need their own pass.

Lounge locations in Newark Airport
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) features 12 lounges, including four United Club locations in Terminals A and C, and the Delta Sky Club in Terminal A.
United Clubs are exclusive to Terminal C, so there are no Priority Pass or Centurion Lounges in that terminal. However, Terminal A has a United Lounge by Gate A27 and an Amex Centurion Lounge. Transport options to and within Newark Airport
There are several transport options to and within Newark Liberty International Airport. The airport is served by NJ Transit trains, which connect to the AirTrain system. The AirTrain connects with all terminals and offers access to parking, rental car services, and hotels. It is free to use within the airport, but costs $8.50 if travelling to or from the airport. Tickets can be purchased via the NJ Transit app, from ticket vending machines, or on board the train (with a surcharge).
For those travelling from Midtown Manhattan, it is possible to take an NJ Transit train and the AirTrain.
