Changes to lounge access policies in 2026
Capital One has announced plans to change its lounge access policies in early 2026, which will mostly impact authorised users and guests. The $395-per-year Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is the primary way most travellers can access a Capital One Lounge. From 1 February 2026, the Venture X will no longer provide complimentary lounge access to authorised users, and all guests will be charged to enter, unless the cardholder spends $75,000 on the card in 2025 and each subsequent year.
From this date, Venture X primary cardholders and authorised users will no longer be able to bring complimentary guests to Priority Pass lounges. They will need to pay a fee of $35 per guest. Guests of Venture X Business cardholders will no longer automatically receive complimentary access to Capital One Lounges and Landings. However, Venture X Business cardholders can continue bringing two guests to Priority Pass lounges.
For Venture X Business primary cardholders, from 1 February 2026, there will be the option to pay an annual lounge access fee of $125 per cardholder to grant them access to Capital One Lounges, Capital One Landings and Priority Pass lounges.
From 1 February 2026, guests will cost $45, and children 17 and younger will cost $25. Children under 2 will still be free. Capital One Lounge visitors must present a boarding pass for a departing flight, with access up to three hours before departure or connecting same-day flights.
